    Hi girlies!

I just thought I’d stick my 2-pence worth in as I’ve discovered a potential BIG DEAL of the post op sports bra wearing!

Now, this may not be medically agreed but Im 8 days post op now and I’m so glad I discovered this. I basically bought 2 sports bras and I can definately say that you should get 1, if not 2 band sizes bigger. You’ll appreciate the room I promise. As for the cup this is where I have stumbled across something. To measure I am currently an E. I have a D and an E sports bra. I wore the E bra and noticed (especially lying down) that I could fit a full fist down the middle of my boobs and had some room! Argh! I thought – I really dont want spaced out boobs. Then without thinking I put on the D whilst my other was being washed. OMG what a difference. I can’t even fit all my fingers down there PLUS the comfort was not compramised. My theory is that a cup slightly smaller ensures you settle and heal closer together rather than letting them dangle and spread out!

I may be wrong – would love your opinions. But this DEFO works in my case and I am not risking the big gap as I have seen photos and they look awful.

    Hi!

You’ll probably be a swallen DD when your recovering so if you are aiming for a D then I would get a C and/or a D sports bra. And defo get 2 sizes bigger on the band size!

    Good luck

Yes, defiantley. If you are 32 I would get 36. Sounds big but because of the swelling, stitches and dressings you need and want the room! xx

omg! i would never have thought of that! thank you!! xx

Your band size will be OK if u get the same size as u are now as you haven’t expanded your body in the night! lol. But if you want even MORE comfort then get a band size or 2 bigger. All the surgeons and PCs that I know of reccomend a bigger band size as well. Me and my friends were told to get bigger. Otherwise they rub too tightly on your incisions. Don’t risk that

Nobody is different that way laura1989 – dont worry hun. Trust me – bigger band is better xxx

Its not a big deal. I’m so sorry for starting this post. All I wanted to do was to let people know what additional information I have discovered. I was so happy to discover this and my boobs are fantastic beacuse of it, I feel.

I did not, by any means, want to cause confusion. It was supposed to help but by people commenting that they didn’t follow this and are ok…. THAT causes confusion to people who have yet to go through this.

To suumarise – yes people haven’t done this and are ok and yes some surgeons won’t even suggest a sports bra but for goodness sake a bigger band is more comfort! End of! lol.

And I have personally found that a smaller-than-expected cup cradles your new puppies nicely without letting them flop to the sides! haha xxx

Please don’t get confused on this girlies.

    Good luck to you all!
