sprained scar tissue

After speaking to the nurse today, she thinks I have overdone it by picking my children up, pushing pram etc & have sprained the lump of scar tissue under my left breast. I am in total agony & can’t even pick my children up, stand up straight, even get myself off the sofa. Have had to look after my children today as had nobody to help & have made myself a lot worse & had to have the emergency doctor prescribe some more pain killers. I advise everyone to rest up as much as you can post op as I have just buggered up my recovery & am having to call in favours from everyone to help me with my children.

I felt fine yesterday and my scars were recovering well & from just a few hours of overdoing it I’m in the worst pain of my life, please ladies listen to your nurses/surgeons and take as much time to heal as you need, I am so angry at myself for not taking it easier. X

Dont beat yourself up honey,just call in the favours and rest,its not easy when you are going it alone most of the time,just know your limits,the body does have an amazing ability to recover,it just needs time.

I’m 18 days po I’m not in pain but my scars are a bit bloodied n i have completely overdone it iv an 18 month old so dealing with her I cleaned my bathroom 3 days po back to work 7 days po compared to other peoples scars mine are awful I no everyone heals diff but mine are all scabbed up xx

It’s hard with kids isn’t it? I’ve got a big lump of scar tissue that is bothering me and the pain has spread all down my ribs and back, but the rest of my scars are healing well. Have you seen the nurse? My nurse said my scars probably won’t heal as well as others as I’m very fair skinned and scar easily and have sensitive skin. Are you quite fair skinned? I thought if they are scabbed up its a sign they are healing?

I’ve put some steri strips back on mine to stop any more damage xx

To be honest my only complaint with Mya is my nurse she knows nothing she’s lovely but couldn’t even advise what size po bra to get or when balance due or any simple questions like that so I rely on forum! It really is so hard wi kids I am fair ish she said she could tell I’d not rested when I had tape off so that worried me n I get twinges in right boob but not painful more uncomfortable no lump tho that iv seen iv tried not to look as don’t think they look nice n paranoid it’s a gap n gonna get infected I need to try take it easy but worry damage has been done! What have they advised u to do xx

Yeah, really try and take it easy if the nurse said she can tell you’ve been overdoing it. Perhaps the nurse at your gp would be better?(annoying as youve paid for aftercare with mya though)

I was told to get some strong painkillers off the doctor and rest, feel bad though as ive never asked for help babysitting my boys, & I had elective surgery and now have to resort to it. Xx

I no it’s such a guilty feeling int it but gotta try taking it easy now I guess x will add u if that’s ok Hun x

awww no hun im sorry to hear that!! hope you feel better soon,

its hard when you have children isnt it, i had to pick my two up the other day and felt the pain on my stitch area,

i know it is easier said then done but try to take it easy
