Staples instead of stitches?

Has anyone else had staples instead of stitching????I thoug I was having dissolvable stitches and woke up with staples….was just wondering what the scar is like with staples? Also does it hurt when they are taken out? Does it hinder your healing?xxx I’m really worried and would apreciate any advice.xxxx thanx in advance.xxx

Hi Hun ! My boyfriend had staples after a kidney op across his tummy and his scar ATM you can see where the staples have been but the little dots are disappearing his about a month PO. And his scar scar is healing nicely where he had dissovleable stitches! I’m sure you’ll heal fine you should ring your pc and ask why you wasn’t told! Xx

Wish I’d had staples. I had hassle with the dissolvable stitches. Bits coming out of me for several months afterwards, in nasty spots.
