hi hun i was exactly the same as you, i live for keeping fit and the gym, im 5 weeks post opp now, and from day 1 ive been active in the sence going for long walks, at 4 weeks i started doing sit ups and going on my cross trainer and stepper. then on monday when i was 4 weeks and 4 days post op[ i started back at the gym, im doing about 25 min or cardio a day between the tread mill, cross trainer and bike, im slowely gonna do a little more each day, im also doing alot of ab exercises coz im not gonna attempt weights for another week or so, i think its best to listen to your body, i started back once i felt ok to do so, now im back training i feel better in myself :) xx

thank you so much hun, I have just breathed a huge sigh of relief! I am a gym addict, I run 30mins before my daily class (either spin/ pump/ combat) and also do sit ups and row most days, and chuck some free weights in for good measure…the thought of not going is horrifying me! nore than the actual op! So sit ups are ok for you, jezzzz defo using our cores!!! I was thinking walks from Day One too…I’m praying I will feel ok, else no excercise combined with pre-op blues…well its not worth thinking about! xx

are you having overs or unders i had overs, so the healing process is alot easiar, be warned when you start jogging again make sure you wear your sports bra coz other wise your boobs will ache, i doubt you will be able to do rowing for a while, i havnt risked trying that yet because you use all your upper body, as i said i aint risked doing any upper body weights yet coz think they will be to much strain on my chest muscles, but it is all about listening to you body and what feel comfortable, you’ll know when the time is right :) hope all goes well with your opp xx

Overs….I’m doing as much upper body as I can now to try and get my arms and chest as toned as possible, as I know rowing and tricep dips etc are going to be near impossible for ages…oh well will have to cut down on calories to compensate, I dont want to put on weight and have big boobs!!! thanks hun, I’ll put some pics up once I’m out…its come round sooo quickly! x
