steri strips?

my ba is in 2wks and just wonderd do you need to buy sum steri strips for after the op?? or not bother?? xx

Wouldnt mind knowing this too jobrooke! Whats best, gel or strips? Anyone have a link to where they brought it from? xx

On my 1 week appt with the nurse she took my dressings off and said my incisions had completely closed and were dry and I didn’t need anything more on to cover them. If the nurse feels you need more healing time she will cover them back up with steri strips. I dont think you need to buy any x

no they put them on and they cn also give u more when u see the nurse at a week, i never asked fo any she just gave me a pack and theyve not even been used lol xx

Yeh I was confused about seeing other girls talking about buying them, I had my post-op check yesterday and she told me to soak the steri strips off after 3 days then that’s it. Im gonna follow her advice i think…dont want to be sticking things on that’s not recommended x

u might be on about dermatix strips, these help the scars to heal better and quicker. when uve seen ur nurse at 6 weeks theyll suggest if your ok to use them, im gona get some in a week or so when im paid xx

Ah yeah thats the one, dermatix strips! They’re expensive aren’t they? Remember a girl saying ebay was best becuase it was cheaper. Ddint realise it wasnt needed until 6 weeks tho…btw Leanne yours are looking really great, just had a look at your new pics! Glad to hear you’re getting back to feeling yourself again xxx
