steristrips

Hey ladies! When i had my dressings off i had some fresh steri strips put on and not its nearly been two weeks since then ive chaged the strips a few times but when can i go without them??xxx

hey amy, not sure if every girl is different, but my nurse told me that if they don’t come off in the shower in 7 days to take them off myself xx

My nurse said I have to keep them on for 7days and can just take them off and shower etc

My nurse told me the same. But, because my bra sits right across the scar, I

re-applied fresh steri strips, bought in Boots. Seems to be doing the job of stopping my bra rubbing.

So i suppose i could just keep them on till i feel comfortable then! Thanks ladies!xxx

if you have a shower or bath, make sure you dry them with a hair drier. This will minimise risk of infection.
