    Hey girls

I’m still in a lot of pain, 8 days post op. I just feel horrible and want to cry all the time. I wet to work today (as a legal PA) and was supposed to be having half day but I was so busy I couldn’t, my arm was hurting so much but don’t know if that was because of using the mouse and obvisouly I haven’t done that since the op. Everyone on here seems to have bounced back so quickly and I’m worried why I haven’t. I see the nurse yesterday for one week check and she said everything was fine so don’t know if it’s me beig a baby! Still haven’t slept lying down but I think I haveto try tonight as my back is killing me!! X

    hey gemma,

Sorry your not recovering as quick as you’d like. Im 7 days post op n was told by nurse yesterday im a few days behind with recovery due to my small frame n having unders but it was nothing to worry about. However i am getting about n stuff n returned to work today. Been off the painkillers for a couple of days BUT it is still painfull like my left side mostly. My boobs are still pretty high n firm yet n trying to move my left arm puts pressure on my boob n hurts. The nurse said keep moving it as it will help and i fund it does really. If you dont try to keep that movement even if its just a little you cause further problems.

Hope you start healing quickly soon hun, i cant wait to get back to being me!!! Not to mention enjoying the boobies lolo xxx

    hey gemma,

Sorry to hear you are still in some pain hun, but everyone is different and it is still very early days for you. You might just need a bit longer healing time, so try and take it easy (easier said than done I know!) and i hope you’ll be feeling better very soon. Big hug x

Hey Gemma, I’m glad someone else has said this as I’ve not found the whole experience easy & effortless like some girls one here.

My op was last Monday, I was given morphine during surgery and woke up immediately asking for more pain relief. I’ve always had a very high pain threshold but I was heavily reliant on co-codamol for the 1st week & needed my sister to do everything for me. I went out for a couple of walks, but kept getting out of breath & needing to sit down!

Like you I went back to work on day 7, to my legal office job and found the 1st couple of days really hard. It didn’t help that my skin had an re-action to the cause and broken out in painful blisters! :(

I have to say though as the weeks gone on I started to feel a million times better. Still have some shooting pains, aching (in one boob) & discomfort when walking, but started sleeping on my back & they feel generally more confortable now! I’ve had a bit of back ache though at my desk but I’m guessing thats just the extra weight!

Like Tammy said, everyone is different. Some people say they are fine the 1st week & terrible the next – once all the meds wear off! I’m sure its completely normal and of there was anything to be concerned the nurse would have mentioned it. At least its Friday tomorrow hun and we get the whole weekend to rest & recover..whoohoo!

    Happy healing. X

Oh sophie I’m so glad to hear someone is the same (obviously I’m

not glad that you have this pain too). Thank you for posting! Sounds exacly the same as me. I’m still breathless even if I’m talking for too long. I asked for more co-codamal but wasn’t allowed but to be honest if it was up to me I would still be on them

now! Lol ouch those blisters don’t sound good! I hope thy are healing up now!

Happy healing to you too xx
