i had dissolvable stitches and had the ends cut about 5 days ago by the nurse, on one side theres still a little bit sticking out.

is this normal? will it go on its own? i can feel it coz it catches on clothes every now and then x

ive had 3 stitches pop out hun 1 at 5 weeks 1 at 6 and 1 at 8, each time leaving a small hole i wouldnt worry, it should come out on its own and heal where it came out from. the first one even bleed with me and i was worried but kept it covered for a day or two and it was fine xx

so it should just fall out itself then you think, i dont fancy pulling it. may hurt n id worry all my incision would come undone haha

are the stiches all individual then? i assumed it would be all one long stitch going in and out across the hole of my incision (if that makes sense). then again ive never had stitches lolx x

im not sure how we are stitched but some just migrate outwards for some reason, i kept playing with mine (couldnt help myself lol) they just fell out then, i think my wounds healed better once they were out to be honest xx

I had this ladies! My dissolvable stitches just would NOT dissolve! I have to say I couldn’t help playing with mine and they just kind off, came out (I may have given a little tug-but only a little one!) and, as nikki, said, it healed up fast with no bleeding at all. I then had a couple at the bottom of my nipple, like you vicky, where the stitches were under the skin and I could see it going a bit yellow/green underneath. I went to see the nurse and she told me it was the dissolvable stitches, she ‘popped’ it and this yucky gunk came out (see my pics if you’re brave enough!) It has healed up great now. So, what I am trying to say, in a round about way, is that it is normal and that yellow will most likely be the stitches. As long as your boob is not red, painful or hot to touch, it is not an infection. I had soo much bother with my stitches! But you will be fine ladies xxx

yeah my nurse cut my ends but then that was it she just put a strip on it, so she didnt cut it down. ill leave them a few days and if it bothers me or keeps catching ill put a steri strip on it again :) xx
