Stitches

Hi all, I had my ba on Tuesday and am going to see the nurse on Wednesday, will I be having the stitches out then, if not how long do they stay in for?

Yeah u should have the stitches out then, my nurse put steri strip on which i had to keep on for a further 3 days. Hope that helps xx

omg do you have to get your stitches taken out will it not hurt? i fort it was th 1 that would disolve! my god im crapin even more now!! xx

hi i went to get my tape off at 7 days no stitches to take out they were dissolvable and my cuts were fully healedx

i hate things like that it freaks me out duno why i ever wanted to be a nurse i dont think i could have coped lol.. anyways thanx thats made me feel loads better now xx

Mine were disolvable sorry should have said that but one they had to take out cus wuldnt disolve didnt hurt though xx

Hi all just to let you know that I went for my check up today and my stitches had dissolved but think it depends on what surgeon you have as before the nurse removed my dressing I asked her and she said no mr Singh uses dissovable ones. X x

they ususally are dissolvable ones, but they still take them out for you! i still have some in, even 4 months later, but they are inside! cos i had uplift! jusr wish they,d hurry up n dissolve X
