Stitches

Hey ladies

Can someone tell me what the nurse does on the 1st check up visit?

Mine is booked for tomorrow and I’m not sure what to expect.

I’ve already taken my tape off so she won’t do that.

I guess she’ll check the scars and put on new dressing?

But what about stitches; I thought they were dissolvable but I’ve seen posts on here about taking them out!? The thought of having stitches taken out makes me feel pretty sick.

hya lv, some people hav disolvable stitches bt others dont, im 1wk post op an iv gota c nurse tmoz to hav my stitches taken out :S

im not lookin forward to it either bt nurse rekons i wont feel it, jst snip them in few places then 1 pull an their out!

not sure wat else she does, supose she jst checks everythings ok an maybe take post op pics??

Yes I had Dr Singh and I do believe he uses dissolvable which is FAB news!! Phew! xxx

well danielle i had dr chantrasak an i had stitches bt dont wori lv i honastly didn feel a thing, kath my nurse (who is fab by the way) jst told me to take a breathin an pulled them out…..i didn even knw she had as i couldn’t feel a thing lol!

im looking forward to my 1st night sleepin flat an also havin a FULL bath in 4 days an getting to hav a propper wash xx

Mine went well, nice new sterile strips on the scars

Had a peak at the scar tho…. Yuk…. Not very good with things like that believe it of not xxx

hya cherry it went well thnx lv, i didn lyk the look on scars either lol, got new strips an patches on 2 bt only for 4 days can then hav a proper bath an guess wa…i can lay on my back or side now yyaaayyyyy!

hi girls glad you ok. i had my 1 week check in brum today at 12 not 11 silly me. they told me much the same put sterile strips on, got to use johnsons body wash for next 5 weeks. I one bob bigger than other lol because one has ore swelling she said its because i’m right handed i do more with that side so the fluid drains better. She assures me they will even out. They look much bigger out of the bra don’t they lol. xxx

I was with my mum today… there was another girl in with the nurse as I left…. and she had a man waiting for her in reception? x
