Stitches, incisions and 2 week check help?

Had my one week post op check today. Steri strips removed everything is fine. But these great big long fish teeth incisions hanging out of my nice lovely incisions she says I have to go back next week to have them trimmed. That’ll be two weeks post op. Is this really necessary and wont they eventually just drop out? I live two hours away from the clinic and fuel is an absolute killer! Five hours soent driving to and from today with atoddler in tow :/

I went in 3 day post op n was told I need to go in 2 week post op to have it trimmed xx

Would the nurse at your local doctors be wiling to do it?

I dont want to risk breaking terms with mya so ill just have to reschedule for 3 weeks or something as my partner is working and cant take me. My booklet only says between 4-7 days and then a 6 week check so im a bit annoyed :/ x
