I was by the doc that if I was resting alot, as in laying in bed most of the day, that I was to wear them until I was able to get up and about a bit more to get the circulation going. I had partial under the muscle implants and my recovery was hard at first so I was pretty inactive for a good 3 days, so just left them on till then, I actually missed them when I took them off lol! They became really comfy!!! I would say if your up walking about a fair bit, then you’d be ok after a day to take thm off. Otherwise, maybe you’d want to leave them on o be on the safe side xx

I was super paranoid about taking them off as I was so inactive and didnt want to risk getting a clot as that’s just my luck lol xx

Oh really. To be completly honest I havnt had any pain what so ever yet! Only one day PO. So I’m kinda like waiting for the pain to kick in. But been up and about today, even went and had a walk about the garden. So might take them off tomorrow depending on how I feel! Xxx

I was told to leave them on until I got home and then take them off. I didn’t though, I was a bit paranoid because I was just sleeping, and they were comfy, so I kept them on for 2 days lol x

The day of my op I took them off. If your mobile then you should be fine to remove them. It’s a precautionary measure incase your mobility is affected. X

6 weeks!!!! arent you just meant to wear them when you are laid up in hospital as they just help ciculation and prevent blood clots in your legs??? i took mine off hours after my op as i was up and around walking x

My nurse just said 6 weeks all together. Just at night time after first 2 week. I Think surgery and GA still makes you at a larger risk of developing dvt for a month after I Think xx each nurse prob recomends different i guess xx
