Strapping off today

Heya
I had my 1 week post opp appointment with the nurse today , she took off my strapping and said I can now shower and sleep flat etc.
Ive been pain free since about po day 3 but since having the strapping off theyre so uncomfortable tonight , Ive had
To ice them and take pain relief again 🙁
Theyv felt like my boobs all week but tonight they feel like two huge balls on my chest
Cant sleep ( hence this post at 1am lol) and Ive resorted back to sleeping up right!

Has anyone else experienced similar ?
Hopeing they will settle back down again tomorrow xxx

Hey Hun, I’m exactly the same! I’m 13 days post op and when I had my dressing off at day 7 I was in agony when I tried to sleep, I actually still am Every night, I usually wake up 2-3 times in pain and have resorted to sitting back up right as it hurts less.

If you figure out a way to sleep more comfortably please let me know! At the moment I’m just hoping I feel better soon xx

Thank you for your reply , its reassuring to know Im not the only one feeling like this. I feel like maybe the strapping was controlling the swelling and I suppose lieing flat makes them swell even worse !!
I was so excited when she said I could lie flat aswell 🙁
Will all be worth it in the end

@kirstyshakespeare hi, I’m so glad I’m not the only one, I was worrying that it wasn’t normal! Same as you I was so excited to finally lie flat and it’s horrible! I feel like the elastic bit at the bottom of my surgical bra rubs on my stiches when I lay down, and if I don’t wear it, it just really hurts anyway!

Hope it gets better with time for us!xx
