Stretch marks???

Hey girls. I’m 7 days post op now and have been using bio oil and cocoa butter religiously. I have no stretchmarks at the moment. Does this mean I won’t get them now? Or does my skin still have the chance of stretching when they drop? It’s getting me quite paranoid as I’d be gutted if I got them on my new boobs (I grew an ass quickly at the age of 11 lol and have stretch marks as a result. So I know I’m prone to them. They run in the family.)

you’d think you’d get in them in the first 7 days but thats not always the case, some people develop them weeks or months down the line, so keep moisturising i am and im 14 weeks post opp this week (im prone to, got loads in pregnancy ) xx

I have already developed stretch marks around my nipples, i should have used some kind of cream! i am 5 weeks post op and they have been there for about a week now xxx

Hi guys, does using palmers/ bio oil before surgery help reduce the chance of stretch marks? Are you meant to be doing this straight away post op ? X

No guarantee that it will stop them but cant hurt to be cautious. I used bio oil twice a day for 2 weeks before my op and now using a mixture of bio oil and palmers cocoa butter twice a day – i will probably keep doing this for the next month or so. x

How soon after can you actually use the bio oil? xx

Straight after as long as you don’t go near the incision. You should have a dressing over them anyway. I started from day one and have kept up the routine.

Also girls, drink plenty fluid, it helps the elasticity in your skin I think that should be my tag line lol. Always ranting on about it

you can use it from day 1 helen, just avoid your incision area xx

lmao thanx hun it means alot to know im needed haha, just think when you have your done, you’ll be giving your knowledge you learnt on here to pre opp girls, its like a circle there were so many girls who help me pre opp im just returning the favour xx
