    Do you have to have the blood thinning injections after surgery?? x x

    You would never have something to thin your blood when having surgery or you’d be at risk of bleeding to death, unless you have something wrong with you that causes your blood to be thicker than normal x

    It totally depends on your body and medical family history. If your prone to blood clots you’ll be advised to have the injections post op. Never pre op as you’d bleed too much during surgery xx

    You only need them after an operation that restricts your mobility……such as a C Section. You won’t need it after a BA.

    i had an injection in my stomach to stop blood clotting but this maybe cos i had under the muscle, i had it about 5pm same day after sugery x

    We don’t routinely give blood thinning injections to a patient after their procedure but depending on the patient’s medical history and at the surgeon’s discretion they are sometimes necessary.
