stupid question-shampoo?

This is a silly question but oh well here goes. Im off to have my first shower in 2 weeks- yeah! But im worried about washing my hair in the shower, what if i get shampoo on my wounds? and also was told my steri strips would come off in the shower, do i pull them off or wait for them to come off? daft i know but thats me- lol!! x

I waited for mine to come off lovely,I did’nt dare pull them,in case I disturbed something and made them bleed, I was given more to put back on,if shampoo gets on your boobies just rinse it off.when washing your boobie,don’t rub just let the water run over you,it will still cleanse and freshen you up.xxxx

I was told my steri strips would fall off after 4 days but I still had them on at 10 days, so after speaking to the girls on here who were told to take them off, I peeled them off slowly in the shower and they were fine. I am still careful with washing my hair, I lean back in the bath to rinse it xx

Wen ru allowed 2 have a shower? I woz told mt surgen 2 days after my op but I’m now 5 days post op and scared 2 get them wet even tho there’s tape under my strips as well. I have jst been having a shallow bath and feel disgusting x

I had shallow baths until my 1 week check with the nurse and she said I could shower but no soap near my incisions x

I brought simple shampoo and conditioner as I worried about the exact same thing. X

I used baby shampoo and baby conditioner, not the best but super gentle.

I took steri strips off around day 16, they were peeling away. Held skin tight and gently pulled away while they were wet. Had no problems at all x
