Sun and scars! Help girls!

Ok so I’m going on holiday in a couple of weeks and want to sunbathe topless. Mr Adamo said I will be fine to do this and just to put a really high factor sun cream on my scars. He said I can even use those lip balms with SPF in them.

I’m a bit sceptical though, I’ve always heard they should be completely covered up for at least a year?

I’ve also heard that covering with microporous tape is good?

i read that sun exposure could discolour the scar but i guess the surgeon’s know best, i know what you mean though, i’d still be sceptical if it were me. if you filled loads of sunblock and lipbalm on the scar you might be fine? xxxx

Yeah, I’m gunna buy like a 50+ sunblock, and maybe try find special suncreams for scars.

They should be fine, as surgeon does know best. Can’t help but worry though!

It’s difficult as Mr Adamo is such a legend his boobies are always amazing and the no bra thing worked wonders on my shape!

so sunblock is ok to use on them so soon?

I was thinking of getting some nude tape to cover them with? like those long plaster material ones. first time in my life I will ever sunbathe topless yay!

p.s when you go on the sunbed what did you put over them and do they get really hot!!!

I’ll be 12 weeks when I go away so I’m thinking I should be okay. Ask him about it at your 6 week appointment, that’s what I did.

I might buy some of that too. Bought some micropore tape but it’s white and kind of see-through so not sure about it. The nude material sounds better!

I cover my scars with plasters on sunbeds.

Hey I have a few moles on my back and stuff and like to cover them up when I’m on a sunbed etc.

I use the johnstones baby complete sunblock, u can get it in supermarkets for like £3.

If it’s good enough for a baby’s new skin I’m sure it’ll do they trick for our scars xx

hey im off to salou four weeks today and will be 6 weeks post op and will be topless sunbathing might even play a bit of volleyball lol. same as lisa johnsons baby block on scars. might get arrested though for indecent exposure lol. xx
