Sun and scars

Hi im due to go on holiday in 2 weeks time, and obviously wanna go topless but worried how it will effect my scars, i had my op 4 months ago and scars have faded loads. Any advice will be apprepciated.

Hi i was told to keep them covered i went on hol ay 4 months,asked if i could go topless when i go in july and was told no,the sun will darken the scars and spoil them,im 7 months now,my PS told even though they will be covered still to put on high factor on my scars,ring your PC and see what they say,they all have different ideas,have a fab holiday Patsy xxxx

my pc said to put sunblock over them to prevent them darkening x

my pc told me 12 months. . . but then i heard on here a couple of the girl had been on sunbeds after 3-4 weeks, i did last week, and was 5 weeks post op, i had plasters over them, and them some dressing packs i bought from the chemist. when i went for my 6 week check yesterday my nurse went mental!

i’d check with your clinic nurse. . .xx

Yes told me use a high factor and to keep scars well covered for 12 months,or risk ruining the scar area,so defetetly check with your clinic xx
