    Ok. What should I cover them with do u think. I have Dermatrix strips ( which I haven’t used yet ). Should I wear a vest and cover all boob or just scars. Xx

    I was told a year to allow scars to heal, seems a ridiculously long time! X

    I was trying to find answers to this yesterday as I’m so god damn white. Found this on breastimplants4you.com (sounds like if your skin has relaxed you’d be ok if you covered the scars. Maybe try putting a bandeau top over them and rolling it down so the top half of your boobs tan?;

    11. When can I tan my new breasts?

    Tanning is not good for any part of your body, including your new breasts. Tanned skin is damaged skin. If you want to tan anyway, you are going to have to wait at least until your skin is no longer red and shiny. Tanning too early after your breast augmentation surgery can increase your risk of hyperpigmentation, a condition in which patches of skin become darker than the surrounding skin.

    Keep your incisions out of direct sunlight for six months to a year after surgery. Scars take about one year to mature, so cover them! The skin on your breasts will also stretch out and heal before your scars, so if you start tanning, cover your scars with some kind of tape, not just sunblock.

    I was back on the sunbed at week 6 after my first BA, I never covered the scars and once the scars settled and started to disappear in the normal time, they just disappeared completely despite me going on the sunbed 4 times per week for years!!

    I had lipo in may of this year on my thighs, I was back on the sunbed 14 days later despite hearing about scars going dark, my 4 little dots are practically disappeared and going on the sunbed never bothered them

    I am 3.5 weeks post op now with my 2nd BA and am going on the sunbed tonight, although I am covering up the scars because I havent been on the sunbed in about 6 weeks and dont want to burn the scars, but not worried about scars going brown coz I know they dont stay like that from experience! ;-)

    that is good to know, thanks for your advice laussie. I’m 1 day over 3 weeks today and might go on next week I’m just so sick of feeling pale when I can go out again etc x

    Just be sure to apply sunbed accelerator, it moisturises the skin and keeps it from drying out and especially on the skin over the implants to keep it nice an hydrated while it is quite stretched and shiny… If I have any problems this wkend I will let you know to advise you not to go on it, if you dont hear from me then Ive had no problems! :-)
