    Hi everyone,

Is it OK to have sunbeds after your op? Covering the incision scars!

I’ve been told not to let the sun get to the scars for the 1st year as they will heal more unoticeable.

Can you also have sunbeds close to your operation? I heard darker skin means darker scars but not sure if a tan on white skin counts?

Something I’m curious to know about.

    Thanks :) x x x

Dr Adamo told me as long as u keep the actual scars out of the sun / covered then its fine – i would say wait a few weeks after op though… xx

I went on sun bed 2 weeks after my operation. Just make sure u keep the scars covered and out of the sun for alteast a year. If u cover them you will be fine, i just put plasters over mine xxx
