does anyone no y u cant go on sunbeds for a week b4 ur op i understand after but i dont get what going on them b4 does to affect ur op x

i was thinkin the same thing, so can u go on after? what about b4?

iv bin told not to go on a week b4 i really dont understand why. and its 6 weeks after i think thats just becausse of your scars iv heard some girls av bein on sooner than 6 weeks and just covered the scars up x

The reason is uv light makes your blood come to the surface that is what make u tan faster doing this puts u at risk of bleeding out when u have your op and may have to have blood transfution x

oh right ill stay of them then if thats the case lol i dont fancy bleeding out in surgery x

omg i didnt no that?? ive been hitting them hard all week even today and op weds and was planning on using them right up to tues to xx

Hi hun make sure u tell you surgen this so he is aware u dont want to pug your life at risk for a tan hun alot of what yhey say the dos and donts ate there for our safety xxxx is it this wed ? x

I just thought that you needed a week for your skin to heal from the UV damage before it got cut open and stretched etc, therefore causing more damage xxx

i didnt know that either i went like 4x a week in the month before my op!!! x

I knew nothing about this n had my op today n went on sunbed yest! Not saying that’s right so don’t take this as its ok, I’m more annoyed no one told me this! Saying that I am ok x

its a year after for sunbeds as well, you can use them before, but your scars need covered (not just lotion, as its not designed for sunbeds, therefore doesnt work on them), as your scars can become permanently red and raised, and your boobs also need covered, as you can tan blotchy.

i know its a nightmare, but spending all that money on them for them to not look as brill as they do now is worse xx

No one told me this ?! I went on a subbed 2 day before my op ! I was fine ..but be carefull if thats the case xxx

i have never heard this before tho, so im not to worried to be honest, and they say dont put fake tan on to dont they? but when i mentioned about eyelashes and if you have to remove your mascara they said yeah all make up and said i could get a tint on my lashes and out fake tan on beforehand? i guess its not a problem a long as its not on your boobies xx

althpough i went on sunbeds right up untill day before my OP. (obsessed with them) it didnt do me any harm, BUT i would advise the girls that u shoudlnt really as it can also make your skin a little tighter, especially if your slightly burnt from sun beds, and then youl have burtn tingley skin after your implants have been put in, other than the bleeding issue which has been said above.
