Sunbeds before surgery?

Ive heard you cant use sunbeds 2 weeks prior to surgery? Is this right? I can’t deal with being pale for Xmas I know you can’t use them after but what about beforehand? Anyone have any idea?

I used them up till surgery and I also used them straight after op and covered insisions untill 6 weeks ish x
