surgeon consultation, did you go alone?

i was intending on going by myself but it says on the paperwork that i should bring someone with me???

I did the whole thing alone, both consultations, mum dropped me at the hospital then went.

However you can have someone with you

I took my partner but I couldnt have gone in there alone as I turn to jelly in the presence of surgeons for some reason!! Maybe its cos they shout at me in work!!!

i’m complete opposite, i know it sounds strange but i think i’d clam up with my husband with me, i’d rather go alone! thanks girls x

I went to 4 consultations alone, then to additional consultation with my surgeon, pre op and surgery all by myself. Not a big deal.

I went with my Sis. For me two heads were better than one. And she ended up asking more questions than me and she’s not even h on getting the op lol!!! If you do go by yourself then write ALL the questions under the world that you want answered. Good luck Hunny x j

It actually pays to take someone with you, and take a notepad to write down everything the surgeon tells you. You may need to refer back to it to either make your decision or for after your op xx

I did it all on my own really just to prove a point.

I wouldn’t of wanted anybody with me when i woke up anyway because i was in no mood for speaking to anyone haha.

I always do things on my own.

I’m getting my lips done on my own.

I have too much pride of being independent though

If you feel like you cant do it alone then sure, take someone x

i would def take someone with you at all times, mostly for support but also as a witness in case something goes wrong and you can refer back to the previous meetings.

not trying to scare anyone as most cases are fine, but in my case i am going down formal complaint process and i am so glad that i had someone with me as a witness to all my meetings and my pc sat in with me x

i done it all on my own… but for my consoltation with the surgeon i had a girl in with me (i think she was training to be a pc) but yes its whatever you feel comfortable with.. i didnt want to bring anyone as i didnt want anyone to influence my decision.. but sometimes its nice to have someone there for support x

I went on my own as I have no Partner and will be doing it all on my own, but am being brought home after the op. I found the experience fine, I knew what to ask and felt totally comfortable x
