surgery 7th march but how long till i can return to work!!

i have booked 2weeks off of work and im having 410 unders, i work as a care assistant so i have alot of lifting and pushing involved in my job on a daily basis, i was just wondering if anyone else has a hands on job and had a BA if so how long was it before u could actually perform ur job properly after your BA? thanks xx

and also what sort of antibiotics do you get prescribed after the op x

Hi, I think you might struggle after 2 weeks, I’m 2 weeks Po after ‘overs’ and I still can’t lift anything heavy…you still need to be careful for your wounds! And I’m allergic to penecillin so I got 5 days of erthymicin xx

yer im also allergic to penicillin…… oh that really isnt good im going to get so bored for the 2weeks im off work….when i go bak i think im just going to have to do as minimal as possible…..thank you though xx

I only booked a week off work and was fine hun, I had unders Aswel I work in accounts office based so my work load wasn’t heavy and no one at work knew either lol everyone is different when it comes to healing and also depends how your surgery goes too, also the more you rest straight from surgery the better, Also if your job is quite full on you would be better to have a couple of weeks off, just take Care and enjoy x x

thank you babe yer i booked 2weeks off but there unpaid so its a night mare but thanks for the advice i think ima just rest as much as possible untill i have to start doing things agen lool xx
