    Hi girls,

Bit of an unsavoury topic however, i came on my time of the month about a week ago and normally i only last 4 days. i had surgery on wednesday and i was right at the end, hardly anything left. since i came back from hospital, ive started bleeding again like im still on my period!

im confused… is this a normal thing to happen do you think because of the surgery? would it have perhaps encouraged my body to keep bleeding?

I may have to consider ringing a nurse but didnt want to bother them with something that may be trivial!

Hi, do you normally take the pill or depo injections and have had to stop because of the surgery? that could be an explanation x

Hey, think its prob down to stress of the surgery hun, but I’d check with the nurse. I experienced the opposite…came on day before my surgery and had my surgery n didnt bleed again after ..till the following month (usually last 5 days) xx

thanks hmariez… hopefully that will be the explanation, might give them a call tomorrow anyway then.

dont think you realise how much stress surgery actually puts you under, but your body certainly does!

i wouldnt worry about it too much for now babe. like was mentioned above it could be due to stress your body has gone through having the operation. also drugs in your body and things like that can effect your cycle. give the nurse a ring to put your mind at rest, it may be a common thing x

thanks Shelleymarie, think i will give them a call tomorrow, is just unsettling as i have been on for coming up to 2 weeks when its normally only 4 days long!
