Surgery Cancellation (January 7th)

Anyone else booked in for surgery tomorrow at MYA Fitzroy had a phonecall to say it has to be postponed? Literally less than 24 hours before I’m due for surgery, I’m told to contact my clinic as a matter of urgency, to be told I cannot have surgery tomorrow. Had to rearrange accommodation and travel from Cardiff to London, stressed is not the word!:(

Oh noo! That’s awful. When have they postponed to? Have they suggested any compensation? Who’s your surgeon hun? This totally scares me! Xxx

As irritating as it is for you, I’m sure at this short notice it wouldn’t have been cancelled without good reason. Hopefully they’ll book you back in ASAP.

Omg I would go crazy. I’m booked in for Friday I would tell them I want my money back. Wouldn’t have no of it.

As annoyed and upset as I am, in a way I’m thankful! Apparently somethings gone down in theatre so they can’t operate, I’ve been rescheduled to Friday the 9th now, so it isn’t too bad! Luckily the hotel was super accommodating and allowed us to switch days which is great of them! Not too long to wait now, just allowing my nerves to build up abit more though haha! And Dr Singh is my surgeon, Freya:) x

I’m a night case, I was so reluctant though, I just wanna get home, don’t want to bloody stay over night! Well, by the sounds of things we’re both in good hands with him anyway!:)

Agh this is prob why they had to change my time then, they said tbere was some issue but i was put onto a night case but theyd cover the cost for me! Though i still have to pay for a hotel for my partner! Typical xx

You should’ve asked if he could stay, as there’s no chance of him getting anywhere to stay at such short notice!

They told me he wasnt allowed i did mention to them but they said no visitors are allowed to stay overnight! Hopefully il be able to leave xxx
