Surgery today pain :( Started by: Steph

    Well had surgery today and oh my the pain….well not pain as such just the pure tightness and breathing in too hard kills I have co codamol sat on recliner with pillows any other tips. Also had a breast band put on with I wasn’t expecting x

    Hi Steph, do you have a travel pillow? I found that helped me alot in the first few days as i was able to get kind of comfy with that round my neck and seemed to just drop off mid conversation with someone haha, make sure you set alarms every 6 hours for the co-codamol/ robaxin (if you were given that) so you dont wake up in pain even though its a bit inconvenient when youve just dropped off to sleep! The band is annoying i know but in my durgged up state i remember my surgeon saying when i came round that it helps stops haematomas forming as well as the implant drop into the pocket, and you can loosen it slightly for a while if its causing a lot of discomfort. sorry that the pain is bad for you at the moment but the first few days are the worst that its going to be and think of the end result xx

    Thank for your advice will definitely consider I was told I can take my co-coadmol every 4 hours. Just had a nice hour sleep before hubby woke me to make sure I was ok men pffft least he’s trying to be nice and helpful x
