Button up/zip up top for po & recovery. Zip up front sports bra from m&s was a life saver as I could lift my arms for weeks. I got kept in overnight unexpectedly & didn’t pack for that e.g change of underwear, baby wipes etc oh & don’t forget ur phone charger like I did lol! Good luck x

Hi, I’ve not had mine done yet but I’ve heard a pillow is a good idea for the journey home as putting your seatbelt on is painful. Just what I heard! And also a V shape pillow is apparently good for sitting up right in bed x

Suzanne do you mind me asking you a question? When I go in for my BA I’ve no one to look after me at home apart from the first day after my op. Did you have someone around more than that? I’m a bit worried x

Everybody is different but personally I was in a lot of pain after my ba. I was fortunate to have my mum help me everyday as I have two young children & my husband helped me with dressing as I struggled to lift my arms, I couldn’t even put my knickers on!! I needed a lot of help & totally underestimated how painful it would be but I got through it and it is definitely worth it X

Thanks Suzanne. My parents have recently moved to Australia so I don’t have them around to help. Im 23 and now live alone so I’m a bit worried about it. My boyfriend will hopefully just have to take some time off work! Thanks for your help 🙂

My surgery is all done and I’m on my way home … Feel bit sore but nowhere near as sore as I thought I would be! The nurses in the first trust hospital in Preston were all really nice and couldn’t do enough for me. Happy so far with everything ?
