Surgery Tomorrow —– Sorry your not on the list Gutted!!

Hi,

I actually feel like crying, I have been nervous excited mentally preparing myself for my op all day. I rang my PC at 8 pm in the end as heard nothing about my admission time. She called me at 8.45pm to inform me I am not on the list at the hospital, so £4250 and nothing too show for it. I still have to go nil by mouth from 12 tonight so they can ‘hopefully’ get me in. Its not good enough I am really upset.

No idea still have to go nil by mouth from 12, hopefuly my PC said she would call before 10am, just deflated and gutted to be fair feel terrible!!! x

I am quite a easy going person but this has upset me I think its because you prepare yourself, Thanks for that both you ladys by the way, I have been to my pre op, got the receipt of the BA being paid for, everything they are going to do a paper trail, well I could do that someone who is extermly incompotant hasnt informed the hospital of my ba!!!!!x

Vic26, I can’t beleive what I have just read. That really is shocking. You poor thing. I can’t even imagine how you are feeling right now. I will keep everything crossed that they get you sorted for tomorrow. Which hospital are you supposed to be going to? xx

Thanks hun, I feel really rubbish, I hope they do, its BMI rochdale. The impression I got is that its nothing to do with the hospital why it isnt going ahead it because of someone at mya not informing the hospital. Its just bad bad customer service that is why I chose MYA after care etc… x x

Hi vic26, just seen this post and immediately got in touch with the hospital bookings staff at MYA. They were on the case and someone should have called you by now to say that we have managed to sort out a time today. We are so sorry for any inconvenience caused and we will be looking into how and why this happened. We are just so pleased you could go ahead today.
