Surgery tomorrow – ulcer in throat

Hi ladies – my surgery is tomorrow. I decided not to go with MYA in the end, but have stuck with you following you girls as I’ve learnt so much pre surgery. Anyway, I have an ulcer on my right tonsil. I am not ill and the ulcer is painless. I get them due to stress, so the anxiety of the upcoming op is what caused it. My question is, is this something I need to mention to them at hospital in the morning? Is it likely my surgery could be cancelled? I’m going to be soooo gutted if so!

Hmmm I’m not sure chick … I would have thought of it’s something you tend to get when you’re stressed or anxious then it should be fine … Maybe when you see the anesthetist just mention that it’s there cause they’ll see it in theatre

I can’t imagine it would cancel your surgery

My tonsils flare up when I’m anxious etc & they were puffy on the day but when I mentioned it they didn’t seem to care
