Hi, just wanted to share my story. I didn’t actually go with mya but these threads have helped me so much in the lead up to my surgery so thought I’d let you know how it went.
I went in yesterday morning around 10am. There was a few people in front of me so had a bit of a wait. Finally went down around 1:15. Had met the surgeon again and the anaesthetist earlier in the day. I had managed to stay fairly calm throughout the day but when they can to get me I didn’t know wether to cry or throw up I was terrified. Everyone was lovely though and soon calmed me down. I walked into surgery and onto the bed. I just remember the anaesthetist joking around with me then my body went really heavy and I was gone. Next thing I knew the nurse was waking me up asking how I was feeling. I surprisingly felt great. I think my reply was ‘I have boobs’!! Lol. Was wheeled back down to my room and had to shuffle across onto other bed which was tricky not using my arms. I didn’t need any further painkillers throughout the day but took two just before bed incase I got pain over night but have felt fine. I think I was out of my room for around 2hours in all went down to surgery at 1:15pm and was back by 3:15. Was brought some food around 4:30. I was starving although found it very hard to swallow as had such a dry mouth and sore throat from the breathing tube. I must admit as the day went on I felt great. Just abit tight across my chest and very sleepy. Was allowed home around 8pm after getting my medication and having my Canular and drains removed. This part was uncomfortable. A very odd sensation and this was maybe the only part of the day where I did feel a bit funny getting hot, clammy, and dizzy but I had come prepared with lucozade :). The drive home was fine. Sleeping upright is a bit annoying but manageable. Woken up this morning with just a very tight chest but no pain except for some in my lower back but that’s from how I’ve been sitting.
So happy with the whole experience in all was nowhere near as horrendous as I was thinking it was going to be although I am waiting for the pains to really kick in. My boobs are hugely swollen at the moment but look really good. I was a completely flat chested 32aa before if that and currently filling a D cup sports bra. Think I should end up around a good C which is what I wanted. I had 295 high profile overs X
