sweating whilst taped up ? …..

I’m 2 days post op and taped up like a mummy….I seam to be sweating loads and the tape is lifting and I feel itchy has anyone else experienced this panicing this may cause infection ? X

You will be absolutely fine babe, underneath all the bandages are special strips over your incisions and its like a sticky tape to keep what’s in in and what’s out out so you will be okay on the infection side. I was also taped up and very uncomfortable but I promise the days will fly until you can take it off. Try not to think about it and obviously try and keep cool to stop the itchy feeling. Apart from that suck it up and it will be way worth it xxx and remember its not worth taking it off early because it helps prevent internal bleeding xx

Ah thanks babe I feel a bit better about it now was stressing coz could feel sweat dripping down my cleavage and couldn’t get to it . And all round the edges Its lifted and I’ve still another week before it comes off lol . I’ll stop panicing now xxx

If it helps hun, I cut little bits away as they came unstuck! Like the big strip across the top of ur boobs I trimmed bits away into like a V type shape and also by my armpits! Nurse said as long as the important bits are on and the support is still there !! I sweated too….. So horrid isn’t it! Like cmdavies said itl be a week in NO time! Hang in there Xx

Yeah may take some scissors to the bit along the top of my boobs … itching is driving me crazy . I’m terrible I’m cold all the time so wack the heating on and forgot I’m taped up ha ha x

After I cut mine I kept dropping food down it … ull be fine I hated the stuf xx

The amount of times I’ve poured food between my new boobs is insane! I’m so used to it falling into my lap that now these two big balloons are sat in the way it goes straight down the middle, 2 days post op and my tape had peeled open at the top so I decide to go and pour some nice tomato soup over my tits. Classy bird me! My mum made a massive cotton stick out of a wooden spoon and some tissue wrapped round the end to clean it up. Mission impossible! I only had to wait 4 days, that’s not including surgery day though. How come you have to wait so long? Xxx

Haha cmdavies92 thats just made me giggle , I don’t know why it’s so long , thats when my stiches come out . I am with transform and had the same surgeon as what I had 8 years ago and it was the same then x
