how long after op can I go swimming?

I had my ba done on 22nd April and I am going away on 14th June and I’ve been told by mr traynor that I can’t go swimming in the pool or the sea whilst I’m away due to risk of infection x

How long did he say Emma? I haven’t asked yet but I can’t wait to show them off in a bikini! 🙂 xx

He didn’t say how long to wait x just said i could not go in the pool or sea, swimming because of the risk of infection he told me that at my consultation as I mentioned my holiday just to make sure I was ok x I can still wear the bikini top though at the side of the pool and on the beach and I did ask if I was allowed to paddle my toes he said yes to that xxxxlol

I’m 6 weeks, nurse told me few days ago to still try avoid even bath until my incision fully healed x

I was also told 6weeks. My husbands worked with swimming pools for over 10 years trust me don’t use them any earlier than you need too they are swarming with nasties! Xxx

Ok well was gonna go swimming at 8 weeks but might put it off till my hol wen ill be 12 weeks

Iv been swimming today for first time since my op, I’m almost 7 weeks now and nurse said it was fine from 6 weeks.
Must say I wa very nervous tho, was very sel conscious of my small boons before the op and now I’m even worse I’m so paranoid about people starring 🙁

I never thort about that Lucy but I will probs feel so nervous too.

Lucy i agree i think i would think people look at you. But when i was younger i always use to look. Not trying to be mean but i use to compare myself to them. And when i got s bit older i knew they were implants but fake boobs always sit nicer in a bikini i think. I cant wait to go swimming!!!
