Tanning!!

Hiya girls, how long did you wait till you used the sunbeds? and what did u cover your scars with if anything? also are we ok to have spray tans once given the all clear at 6 weeks? cant rli imagine spraying my insisions lol x

I waited 6 weeks for sunbeds and use total sunblock onmy scars.

I’m not sure on spray tans tho x

hii well im only 4 weeks po bt wanted to find out mysel and ppl said cover the scars with plasters or keep bra on and jst take staps off x

My nurse told me if you don’t cover your scars on the sunbed they will go really dark. My friend used plasters to cover hers when she started using sunbeds again xx

I use sun beds from 6 weeks. I’m 9 weeks now. Cover scar with something thick. Clothing or something. X

DHA, used in spraytan solution, the stuff that develops into a tan, was discovered in the early 1900’s, it was actually used to keep wounds sterile after operations and surgeons found that it turned the skin dark.

Tanning beds, cover your scars, look on ebay for miami ink nip, lip, tat stick, its spf 50 and works a treat, its actually discontinued now but its still on ebay.

Dont pay more than £7 for one, i cover my tattoos with it on holiday and one stick has lasted me 6 holidays up to now.

Ooh, that’s it then, I’m getting a spray tan for my party on Saturday, I’ll be 5.5 wks anyway so should hopefully be ok! Thanks!

See I don’t understand this. I’m scared of using them after as my friend has gone on sunbeds and not covered them and she said they are fading each time!!!! Where as alot of people say they get darker??? Confused . Con

See I would of thought fake tam would make them go dark but would come off. I used sun beds after an op on my leg to fade the scar whic must of worked as you can’t see it atall now and id heard the sun helped themf ade. Though that might not be the same with fresh scars I can’t remember how long I left it till I went on the beds it must of been atleast a year come to think of it as I hadn’t been walking xx

ooo thanks for all replies! i love the sunbeds ive found that sun beds have helped fade things such as spots etc cause i occasionally get the odd few on my back n chest so also use it for that reason so it might help fade scars but maybe they tell you not to with them been new and maybe the skin is still sensitive x
