i had an accident this morning and had to go hospital to get 2nd degree burns treated and dressed on my hand and arm. i only had paracetamol and ibuprofen and i need repeat dressings tomorrow and the following day but should i call my nurse to let her know i had to go or is it irrelevant? wasn’t sure if all hospital trips have to be reported to the nurse before surgery or just things that would affect my op like illness? xx

I’m not sure when your surgery is but you’re not supposed to take ibuprofen for 2 weeks before it. You can phone just in case, better to do it than them say in a week you’re witholding information or something xx

its 9 days away and thankfully didn’t take it as i had an empty stomach and it makes me sick if i don’t eat before. gonna stick to paracetamol! yeah that’s true it’s not affecting my health it was just i had to go hospital to get it dressed as it was so badly blistered 🙁 xx

Call to check I had to call because I fractured my wrist month before my op n they questioned if it will affect it but it didn’t in the end n my cast was off just before my op xx

ah okay, it’s blistered and sore right now but its just got dressings to keep it clean and dry so the blisters don’t get affected while they go down. thanks ladies ☺️ xx

hey cassie! yeah my nurse rang me and she was so lovely about it all. just thought it best to let her know and she asked how i was, wished me a speedy recovery and said she will call a couple of days before my op with the last details before i go Fitzroy. everyone is so nice and kind, very thankful for it ☺️ xx
