You really should tell your boss hun, they should do a risk assessment on your job when you come back. I see lots of ladies on here who don’t but you should really. If you act like you don’t care, then nobody else will, if you try and hide it then you look like you are ashamed of it and thats when gossips start. Ive told everyone lol I really could not give two hoots. xxx

I’ve told HR but havent told my boss or colleagues. I’m so excited and want to tell everyone but friends i have told have been to be honest quite rude about it and this is something for me and no one else so I thought if i’m going to get agro about it deal with it after when i’m too happy with my new boobs to care!! what have people said when you told them? have you had any nasty comments? x

I think it depends on the job you do as well honey,if its physically demanding you may need to go on light duties for a couple of weeks, for health and safety reasons you would have to tell you boss, they would not be able to disclose it to anyone, especially if you tell them its personal and you would prefer it not to be discussed, employee confidentiality. They need to know in case you are poorly at work. But some girls dont tell their employers and that is their choice, xxxx

I was worried about this too, haven’t booked my op yet but was thinking about when I do. I suppose you should really tell your manager so they’re aware you may in a bit of pain when you go back and just in case there are any complications, but I really don’t know how I would say it. Where I work there are a lot of us in our 20’s that joined the grad scheme after uni, I wouldn’t be bothered about telling them it’s just my manager, he’s in his 50’s very posh it’s not the sort of thing I’d want to tell him lol!

Let us know if you tell them and what they say hun xx

I told my employer as i am a co car sdriver and can do up to 900 miles a week. In fact i told everyone and anybody who wud listen – i had a return to work interview and agreed not to travel more than 100 miles round trip for the 4 weeks after i went back xx I put a sicknote in for the first two weeks after BA

I’ve not told anyone at work, but getting more and more worried that I wont manage once I get back. Having 16 days off after my uplift and BA. I’m a Nurse and the last few weeks have been so so busy and the more I think about the stuff I actually do at work the more I think I wont be able to do my job properly. I’m thinking of just going on the sick if I cant manage, but dont really like the idea of doing that. I would tell my manage but he’s not professional at all and I know within days the whole place would know, and working in a hospital is the bitchiest place I’ve ever know.

Really dont know what to do ??!! Xx

i told my deputy and asked her to tell my boss becouse i once mentioned i was thinking of having it done and he went mad saying ”your a beautiful girl you dont need it ull ruin yourself” but he was great about it in the end, i went back to work after 7 days and he was even telling me to go off sick.

i found it easier to tell everyone then its not a issue.

A friend of mine had hers done when i worked in a hosital she didnt tell anyone and people were talking behind her back for weeks so i thought honesty is the best policy.

if i tell people now they say ”i never knew you had it done” and considering where i live and the gossips around here i find ir remarkable so if you make out as if its not a big deal nobody else will. xx

Hi, I havent told anyone at work. I will tell my boss the week before I get it done and will request light duties when I get back. Ive also been to la senza and bought some 2 cups bigger bras and have been wearing them for the past few months. I’m hoping that way, noone will notice a big difference when i have bigger boobs instead of padding.

Fairy when you said you didn’t tell anyone except the right department who did you tell? I won’t feel comfortable telling my male boss and really don’t know how to bring the subject up, did you tell HR or something? I think work has a right to know and telling my colleagues doesn’t bother me it’s telling my boss that worries me xx

I told my boss I had to go into hospital when I asked for time off and he just asked me whether I was ok. U dont need to tell them why u are going in just make sure they know its relatively serious incase u need more time off later on :) Im also not telling any of my friends at work until ive fully healed and I didnt want them to judge me beforehand xx
