TESCO loan anyone?

hey girls ive got to pay off my op by 7th august but havent got my finance sorted yet!

im loaning 3000 from tesco, will be applying tonight, and if they dont accept me with no credit history my dad will apply in his name.

does anyone with experience with tesco loans know how long the process takes for them to check through my application, accpt and give the funds over?

Hi Stacey,

I applied for a Tesco Loan online and didn’t realise it would take 2 working days for them to post you their decision then if you were accepted you have to sign some paperwork, send it back and then it will take 3 days for them to give you their final final answer. Might be best to do it over the phone coz if your anything like me i wanted to know there and then.

Hope they accept you as they have a good apr.

Hiya, i got a tesco credit card and put the balance on there, as u can just pay however much u want every month then and they give u an instant disison, no paper work. i think its just the same as a loan, its also interest free for 12 months!

i went for a 0% Tesco credit card for 12 months on purchases. it does say that MYA do 0% finance on their front page??

i did mine online and they give you an instant decision with the amount your credit limit will be.

I took out a sainsbury’s loan, applied on line got a email telling me to ring, rang got a decision there and then, papers couried out to me the next day, they wait while you sign them, that was last thursday the money was put in my bank on tuesday. Could not get better service really

should of said I borrowed £3000 with an apr of 11.9% over 1 year £260 ish a month x

wow thats really good! well ive just been turned down for the tesco loan! my dad is going to try in his name tonight, im really bricking it now tho as i have to pay it off by the 7th aug!!

I was refused by tesco too but was accepted no problem by my bank. Have you heard of zopa? You dont borrow off a company you borrow off people that lend the money, sounds strange but they have good rates. Hope everything works out for you hun and good luck with your ba, let me know how you get on coz im absolutly terrified of having the op

my bank is lloyds and the apr for me is 24% it was lower for my dad though so if all fails with him applying for tesco i guess we could do it at lloyds in his name.

no ive not heard of them, id be scared to go with something like that though!

oh dont worry about your op! im not scared at all im proper excited! before my consultation with the surgeon though i felt sick and was sooo frightened but it wasnt half as bad as i expected!

the way i see it is your asleep through the messy bit and when you wake up you have so many pain killers to help you!

Hi girls, I got a 3.5 loan from zopa at 9.5 Apr! I applied last sat night on the net n the underwriters rang on Tue to ask a couple of questions n told me I had got the loan. Money went in my bank on Thurs! I no its a bit daunting not using a bank but its still got all same terms & conditions as bank loan but with less interest! They ask for a couple of things, like no ccjs but its well worth checking out. Good luck! X

im so lucky, my mum slipped up and told me her and my dads plan last night, they are lending me 3000 from their savings! im so happy i could cry!

so when i go for my pre op on 30th, i can pay it all off and then all ill have to do is WAAAAAAIIIIIT which will be so bad ha will be the longest month ever!!!

That’s great news, glad ur sorted. Iv got it over 3yrs so its only 111 a mth. Planning on paying it off sooner (u can pay more or lump sums n pay less interest) but wanted to keep my options open, I might need a hol to show off my new boobs, lol x let me no how the op goes! X

lisd- I just wondered who your finance was with? I was refused a credit card because Im a student and im only working part time, is yours with Mya, they said i might be able to do finance with the but i would need my mum a garuantor.
