hi girls, just wanted to say a big thank you again for all your support and concern since my op (and before too)

I’m feeling a little better today, still in a lot of pain but not as emotional! yesterday was awful, i felt so low and was regretting ever having the op!I took some ibuprofen last night which seemed to help a little! I’m not managing to eat much although i try an have a piece of bread with my tablets but i seem to have lost my appetite, i’m scared of eating anything and then being sick! Also i keep hearing a “whooshing” sound in my left breast…is this normal? its not painful, just feels strange xxx

Glad you are feeling better today Jo. Just take it easy and get lots of rest if you can.

Whooshing or gurgling, along with squeeky boobs are quite normal, but if you have concerns, call your PC or nurse to speak to them

Thanks hun…i think i really scared myself yesterday, got myself in such a state..it was a mixture of the pain, the apprehension and the tablets i think! I thought i was losing the plot at one point but i’m trying to relax more today! My pc is calling me later today so i’ll mention the whooshing to her…its such an odd feeling xxx

So glad your feeling a bit better today jo! The tablets will definately be contributing to u feeling crap! Yesterday I had co codamol antibiotics and some laxatives, I had only had a slice of toast in the morning and started to feel really spaced out!

Just take every day as it comes. I Felt quite good yesterday but woke up this morning in a little more discomfort than before, plus they look like they have grown over night! The post op bra I bought was slightly to big straight after the op now it just fits! I’m currenlt sat here smothered in coca butter naked on my bed!

Thanks carmel….yeah i find the co codamol definately make me worse, i’m trying to stick with paracetomal instead and ibruprofen! Gonna try and eat a bit more today, maybe have a bit of soup – i just feel so sick all the time though, and am scared that if i actually am sick that i will rip my stitches!!

I’m so glad your recovery seems to be going well, i would hate for you to feel like i do, especially yesterday! I think mine have grown a bit but still can’t really see them properly cos of the bandages..i can’t wait to get them off! I’m definatley feeling less emotional than i was and am going to take one day at a time!! xxx

Hope your feeling better today, I know how you feel I was nearly in tears infact i was just before my strapping came off as I thought my boobs looked wonky and kept thinking to myself what have I done, after i saw them for the first time i fell in love with them and I’m glad i’ve had them done, i’m only one week post op but I am still numb under both breasts but have very sensative nipples, it does get better hun xx
