The dreaded drains!

Hi ladies, got my operation in the morning.. I’m worrying about the drains. In all honestly how bad are they? Xx

Hi Hun I had my op on Friday.. They’re really not bad at all! I wouldn’t worry about them 🙂 x

I think it’s more in your head… I totally forgot about drains then when I woke up after my op felt these plastic things coming from my sides! they didn’t hurt but were just annoying as you have to carry them around with you when you go to the loo etc lol if you’re a bit squeamish like me then my advise is not to look at them as obviously they drain the blood and fluid etc away lol

When they remove the drains make sure you take a pain killer just before…. The nurse pulled one drain out and I’m not sure whether she forgot to twist the valve or not but it hurt like hell! But the second one was absolutely fine!

Just try not to worry too much about it by this point you’ll nearly be on your way home and resting up 🙂 x

Why do some people have drains? Is it for uplifts?

I had drains, I didn’t have an uplift. One side hurt a little. Made me feel sick more than anything and the other was fine x

random question, but does every surgeon use drains? xxx

Not all surgeons use drains, I’ll be honest one of my drains killed when it was removed and made me cry like a baby lol, but the other was fine! There nothing to worry about as they are removed in seconds! Just think of the good its doing for you new boobies taking all the excess fluid& blood out Xxx

The drains dont hurt at all, you can even ask the nurse just before if it will hurt, they just feel weird when removed but it only takes a minute. X

I didn’t feel mine , I suppose its diff for everyone! xx

Definitely got to love Dr Mounir with no strapping and drains! He’s a boobie god haha xxx
