I’ve gotta say… i don’t know if anyones tried one yet but power plates / vibration plates are fab. My parents got me one several weeks back cos i have MS and sometimes too lethargic to even think about moving lol, but it really does do some serious body toning.
When i was using it yesterday i thought that a low setting might be ideal for post op girls to keep their body conditioned. Anyone else got one of these things?xx
Hi dondon i was thinking about using one of these because i have MG but i didnt know if would make me feel worse rather than feel any benefit, but after reading this i might give it a go coz i find exercising really hard
thanks again xx
do not have one at home, but they have a few in my gym. They give you a great work out upper and lower body xxx
yeah i was skeptical but swear by them now. at the moment im whacking it up full blast and it hurts like hell but im trying to get my legs and bum in line with my top half (pear shaped
) lol so overcompensating. my legs can already take much more running/activity without feeling the burn and the muscles are becoming more defined definately. Gonna try it after my op on 12th oct at lowlowlow pace lol.x
Where can I get one? Will it tone my belly and arms? x
If you can get one that attaches straps to it, you can work on the biceps by lifting up arms, work the shoulders by raising arms forward and to the side, or sit on it for triceps lifts.
Also if the plate is wide enough, you can balance your feet on it whilst planking ..
i used to own a power plate ( like the ones in gyms) a few years ago but didnt like it that much, a few weeks back i brough vibroplate from ideal world it is 100x times better than a vibrating plate, it actually wobblys ur fat ! its amazing i recommend it but it is hefty price its £250 i think xxxxxxx
ive got a Motive brand one from argos at £300. its worth it though.xx
i know loads of women who use these because they cant do proper exercise due to ill health and they have seen great results with weight loss and toning, personally i like a proper work out, but if you have reasons why you cant do a proper work out, or you lack motivation to go to classes or the gym these are def an awesome piece of equipment xx
I have one of these too but wonderd if I could use it after op?thot it mite affect implants? Alsoo dnt take my word for it but I think its fukd up my insides lol I iused mine once/twice a day but havent been onit for a few weeks coz I noticed I was in agony when I woke up,like someone was ringing my guts lol espesh when I treid to take a breath in…as soon as I was up and about it goes away tho! Wierd!but defo goni go to docs coz its not gettin any better :-s xx
Groupon had an offer on one that was reduced from £1k to £350. They might still have the offer if anyone is looking for one. Littlewoods also sell them so u can pay it off weekly x
hi girls, a trainer at my gym warned me not to use these everyday becouse the constant vibration messes with your insides, he said there a excellent tool for warming up/down muscles before and after exercise but shouldnt be used as a substitute for a workout. personally i wouldnt use them after a ba especially if you’ve had unders incase it moves the muscle untill uve had the ok by your nurse/surgeon.
but if used occationally its a excellent piece of equipment that really does work just wish i had the money to buy 1, dont like using the 1 in the gym as its right by the mens weights and dont fancy being perved at while my ass is shaking at 100mph lol xx
