I had my op yesterday evening & to begin with I couldn’t believe how easily I could still do everything, I wasn’t in much pain at all.
Now the pain in my chest is so bad, it feels really tight & I can feel every movement. Just laying in bed or lifting my arm slightly is so uncomfortable. I can’t sit up on my own now 🙁
Is it normal for this to happen? I’m scared that at first I over did everything and have damaged something. X

Sounds about right. keep up with your pain meds and rest! by day 4 youll wonder where the pain went. its very short lived I swear! hold on in there.

Hey babe! I’m 8 days po, and my god I’ve never been so ill in my life! I can’t stop being sick and am still finding it hard to move! But the nurse has reassured me that the boobies are ok! What ur going through sounds really normal! Many girls say they can barely move their arms and can’t even pick up a cup! Some people heal a lot better than others! If get really worried give them a call Hun, even if it’s just peace of mind! I really hope all u have a better recovery then me, good luck!xx

I had the same upto 5 days. Try get up and walk about abit, potter about and use your arms ( not too much tho) I found this helped them from stiffening up. I’m now 4 weeks post op and no pain at all 🙂 it seems like itl never get better but it does. Happy healing 🙂 xx

I’m taking cocodamol. It helps a bit but I’ve still been in a lot of pain. I tried to go for a walk earlier and it was so cold and all my muscles tensed up so that definitely didn’t help. I’m just trying to take it really easy now though xx

I’m taking paracetamol the two hours later ibuprofen it seems to be helping more than just cocodamol every 4 hours, x

I was the same, I over did it the day after then the next day I was in agony! even wondered why I had done it to myself. just make sure you rest 🙂 by day 7 I wasn’t taking any more meds so it’s a quick recovery. if your in alot of pain buy some tramadol instead. I’m pretty sure it’s stronger xx
