Do u have to stop taking the contreceptive pill a week before ur ba? X

I got told to carry on as normal xx

2 week before and 2 weeks after the nurse told me but my Pc told me carry on but think I best listen to the nurse xx

i carried on mine, nobody told me otherwise xx

Yeah I was told stop 2 wks before and start taking 2 weeks after, it has something in it which thins blood as well as makes you bleed!xx

i didnt get told to stop! Just told it wouldnt work as a contraceptive, not sure why!x

I got told to stop 2 weeks either side, it’s to do with risk of bold clots. I checked my family history and as I don’t smoke I wanted to carry on taking it coz thought there was a bigger risk I’d get pregnant! I asked the surgeon at pre op and he said if u don’t want to stop then dont, just don’t tel me

I’m 5 days post op and have had no problems coz of it.. if you dont have a history or smoke u should be fine to carry on hun

And seeing as though not everyone is even told to stop, it can’t be that much of a risk!! Xx

I’m on Yasmin which carries the higher risk of deep vein thrombosis so I have to stop taking it two weeks before eeeeek…. 4 weeks in total is a long time
