Hi girls I’m 2 days post op and been pain free since having my BA! But the last few hours they’ve started to feel hot and heavy and my right is swollen more and more painful !! I also feel a little breathless like my chest is tight? Does all this sound normal? Will it be ok to put my ice packs on them?

Hi hun, they do say day 2 and day 3 can be a litle worse than other day’s! Just take it easy and yes ice packs are fine, I took an ibuprofen to help with swelling just one a day, my nurse said that was fine, just give them a call and double check and if your worried they will put your mind at ease!

I had no pain at all but my chest was really tight for about 1 week, that is because you have had implants squashed into your skin so until your skin starts stretching it will feel tight!

You have just had a major operation so you will feel a little sore!

Thanks girls, nurse rang earlier to see how I am but missed her call, was feeling fine earlier even went for a walk, maybe I’ve done to much!! Feel a bit better now I’m sat with my ice packs on = ) x

Yeah just take it easy, I found when walking around the house the pain would be a little more than usual, so you may have over done it slightly!xx
