Hey there everyone, this time next week i will be having my op or waiting, not got my admission time yet as only a week to go.

Any advice i should have? what is the best thing to take with me pjs or dressing gown and what else.

still need to book my hubby into a hotel, and still need to find a 32dd sports bra which is very hard to find unless i wanna spend £20 on one. xx

22ks- Wow, that is exciting! Are you a day case or overnight? I had mine last Wednesday at Highgate London on a daycase, my admission time was 9:30 but came about 15 minutes early, we were taken to my room about 9:30 by a porter. I went in the hospital with leggings and zip up top, but also brought with me a track bottoms and loose zip up track top which came in handy when I went home in the evening. The hospital will give you a dressing gown and you are bound to be on it until you get discharged. I took a book (but did not managed to read it), my blackberry came in handy while my hubby was on the laptop (there is a wifi connection), chargers for the electronics, bubble bath and the most important one was the V pillow. The pillow in the hospital is too flimsy.

22ks-oh about the sports bra, I got one, but I am not using it at the moment…I prefer using a boob tube with elasticated supports. My daughter got me one for £3 from sports world. I have my nurse appointment tomorrow so I’ll see what she suggests.

i would probably buy 34 aswell, as im normally a 30 /32, but the 32 is too tight on me and i feel like i cant breathe! im 1 week post op.

22ks-I decided to do a day case as I only leave 40 minutes away from the Highgate London. The V pillow has been my life saver…sleeping is a nightmare until now. I will be 7days post op tomorrow and will be seeing the nurse at Holborn Clinic, hopefully without any problem. I am walking about more now as my bum has been too sore, but my right boob is giving me a ripping pain and when I lift my right hand it gives a painful sensation to my boob.Getting up even from upright was a pain. Between 1-100, I think I am about 40% better. Going to the clinic tomorrow will be exciting as I will be out of the house for the first time.

Don’t rush about and take things slowly. You will be out of breath for awhile and could not lift heavy things. While your at home, I suggest you have all your pjs or change of clothes ready at home for your hubby to assist you with…like button fronts.

If you aim to take a shower n the hospital, make sure you do that before your surgeon starts drawing on you. I aim to shower in there, but the surgeon has already drawn on me.

    Goodluck and stay positive!
