**Re-posting as I’m now 8 weeks, almost 9, and I see posts every day from girls feeling just like i did.**

This is such a great forum in that pre-op and post op, and even further on post-op girls can all mix together and share experiences.

It’s really, really hard to imagine what next week will be like, let alone a few months when you’re at the very beginning post op stages. You probably feel like total crap right now, sleepless nights, hypochondria, think you’re gonna die, your boobs are wonky, misshaped, one bigger than the other, nipples pointing the wrong way, and you can’t stand up straight because your back aches, can’t lie down cause your boobies kill. And to top it all off you’ve put on god knows how many pounds from the damn medication and can’t do anything about it cause you’re not allowed to exercise. You’re stuck in the house and you can’t drive, and even if you could you wouldn’t cause you feel like crap remember!!

Yeah I know the viscous circle all too well. I had those feelings from week one to week 4, and only recently been feeling that “wow I have boobs and can enjoy them”(I’m 9 weeks post op on saturday).

Just wanted to say, you WILL get through this, you WON’T die, you WILL leave the house again, and your boobies WILL BE MAGNIFICENT!!! hONEST

Follow everything your surgeon said, eat right, get up and get out as much as possible, get fresh air and sunlight, stretch your back and shoulders, take it easy and take time off work if you can, try not to look at your boobs too much in the first few weeks, take advantage of the 24 hour nurse line because they are fab and will help you relax no end, breathe deep, and listen to all the post-op girls on here who have been through what you’re going through now.

    YOU WILL SURVIVE!!!!!!!

((((((Hugs)))))) and GOOD LUCK!! :D xxxx

It was the lack of exercise, the unwashed hair and the swelling that made me down. Take a few walks and get someone to do your hair or go to the hairdressers, you’ll start to feel better :) x

    Menu

Oh god yes, get someone to come round and do your hair and nails. Makes the WORLD of difference :D

I see a lot of girls post about feeling crappy and worrying their boobs are not big enough, they’ve wasted money etc. Well I just wanted them all to know that they aren’t the only ones to feel that way. It’s normal, and it will pass :) xx

    Menu

I have bipolar. I’m a bit scared of this ‘boobie blues’ :( when I get down it’s really intense and hard to get out of… got things to look forward to though which helps alot I reckon.. like in a month or so when i can wear a pretty bra that’s not aimed to be worn by a 16 year old:) xx

    Menu

Just make sure to get out and about, breathe the fresh air, get plenty of natural light, eat well, get a pampering (hair, nails etc), things that make you feel good. And try not to look at your boobs every few mins, scrutinising every last mark and twinge, and you’ll be fine :D
