Hi melissa, yes that’s normal. You will get loads of changes, funny pains, weird looking boobie shapes for weeks to come yet haha. No one really tells you about how you will feel after the op and how to cope with the changes you’re seeing, it’s a pity really, i remember how scared and paranoid i was about every little thing. But honestly, 99.9% of the time any pain, or odd looking changes you see are totally normal in the first 2 months. I rang my nurse for every little thing and she told me that the signs of infection are red hot boobs (like unbearable/ can’t ease with ice), seeping discouloured discharge from the nipples or scars and a temp. If you have those signs, or the pain is so bad you are seriously worried, then give the nurse a call and they will arrange a check up if you need it xxxx

Best, most cheerful post i’ve read in ages and well timed for me too. 12 days PO and my right one is very sore, convinced i’m about to get an infection or the implant will just fall out of the bottom! You’ve cheered me up no end, thanks hon x

9 days till my op now with Mr Adamo, this is a brilliant post was absolutely shitting a brick & its made me realize don’t analyse too much & try not to panic i’m thinking all the worst things imaginable but its soo nice to know all you girls are going through the same thing! Bit worried about putting on the pounds as i’ve got my mums wedding a month after my op.. how long till you can start moving around alot more? x

As soon as you feel up to it you should get out and try to do some walking, at least stretch your muscles a bit and don’t lie in bed/ on the sofa all day. Drink LOADS of water too, that really helps flush the toxins out and make you feel happier and more energised.

@scarlett – hope you got it all sorted out. That nurse line is brilliant. I was on the phone to them constantly LOL
