To girls who had to wait longer than 6 weeks…

To any post-op girls who were told by their surgeon that they had to wait longer than 6 weeks to wear an underwire bra….what was the reason?? I read that they want you to wait if you are still numb underneath your nipples because you can’t feel any irritation. Has anyone been told this?
