Ha ha! Ok! Well I was thinking that too! I did wonder how the toilet works after op! How does the ‘wiping’ bit work too? Sorry about the detail! X

the wiping shouldn’t be a problem so long as your minky isn’t on top of your head, I just had real trouble with getting to the loo roll as one was on the wall and another behind me. Not pooped yet but I’ll keep you all posted, haha! xx

oh and flushing hurts! Steady your back against something so you don’t topple and flush with your foot x

am trying to think of everything that’s been difficult for me but that’s the only thing I’ve had to do alone cause my fiancé has done everything and so I only had to deal with the loo alone.

Lightswitches – use your head (literally)

Drinks – use a McDonalds cup with a lid and straw or if you want to leave a drink on a surface it needs to be between hip and nip height and in front of you rather than to the side, ideally sit down and get someone to pass you your drink so you can set it down within reach

Brushing your teeth – get an electric toothbrush

In the car – get someone to buckle you in and undo you and have a V-pillow accross your chest so the belt doesn’t rub

If I think of anything else I’ll let you guys know xx

i think it depends on what pain your in or how your implants restrict your movements does it not?

    Menu

ahhh thanks Rebecca,I am taking tramadol so I have very little pain, if any at all….so am just getting on with things, I just feel like i’ve been in the Gym for about a year!!!…… 😆

they’re just the things I’ve found painful (but I’m 1 day post-op and a total mard arse, have also gone pretty huge on a small back). Best to ask the girls at MYA if you’re unsure as I’m certainly not an expert but basic rule of thumb is if it doesn’t hurt then you can do it (and if you can show your mum/significant other/best mate this post and not do anything for a couple of weeks then go for it!) xx

lol….I am also 1 day post op and hubby is trying to do everything but i’m a stubborn cow and wont be looked after…..although i may just have a little re think for a few days xx 😆

Great advice ladies! Love your choice word ‘minky’ @ smallen! I heard it called many things but I like that! Just to confirm, I think the minky wiping will be ok but I was worrying about the backside as you gotta stretch round… Im sure Ill cross that bridge when I come to it in 2 weeks! I think ill spend most of my time on the floor on a big coushin so I can use my knees and legs to get me up! Worried about the sleeping part though as I always sleep op my front with both arms under pillow… Although I did give the ‘sat up’ sleep a go New year- not out of choice though mind! xx

I slept on the sofa last night and was really comfy and could push myself upright with my feet on the opposite arm rest, also the pillow nest I built to prop me up had extra support from the back of the sofa.

Bum wiping – still not *ahem* experienced that yet but I reckon a rag on a stick would do it! Hahahahhaa xx
