Good luck!! I was a day case and took:

dressing gown and slippers – for walking down to theatre

book/ipod – but didn’t read or listen to either – theres a tv in room.

Phone – used this a lot lol

V-pillow – got my mum to bring this when she came to pick me up for way home

2 sports bras – ended up wearing my macom but just incase

pjs – incase I had to stay overnight for any reason

toothebrush + toothepaste (again, as above)

Think that was about it, obv had a zip up hoodie and comfy trousers and slip on shoes to come home in (you don’t want to be messing with buckles/fasteners).

um dunno, to be honest i wouldn’t have been able to use it post op – was too out of it. I had internet on my phone so just used that. You could call hospital and ask if you really want to take the laptop though x

d’oh! sorry for repeating myself, often happens on here! lol

I had my blood pressure and oxygen saturation measured, weight taken but they didn’t ask for any blood our urine – this might depend on the information you give them but I’m not sure. The surgeon comes and draws on you, the anaestasist (can’t spell!) comes and talks to you then thats it, down to theatre really. I was only in the hospital just over an hour or so before going down to theatre, which was nice can’t do with waiting around and I didn’t have time to get nervous either.

Me tomorrow too , we’re goin out getting a few last minute bits n bats today , really excited now

I’ve just rang MYA now , I asked about appointment time and got this answer

“Oh my , what a nightmare , you should’ve had it by now”

She’s phoning me back with my appointment

“We dont deal directly with MYA’s patients , you’ll have to phone them directly”

I had to ring and pester MYA to give my mine! I didn’t get it til Saturday afternoon but that was only because i kept ringing to ask them for it. What a pain! Good luck hun, x

i called saturday about 11.30 and she was fine and said yes il find it for you hold on xx

ok shes just rang back

7.30 admission time , she seemed to think I might go in first because I have a latex allergy.

Hope he’s not been on the Guinness tonight lol
