Totally gutted!

Hi girls seems like I was not overeacting. I have just had a little liquid come out of one of my boobs and it is really hard and swollen comapiered to the others. I rang the nurse and told her and she said it sounds like an infection I am so upset and cant stop crying. I thought at 5 weeks PO I would be all clear 🙁 Have to go and see the nurse first thing on Monday:(

Sorry to hear this, I’d be just as upset as you so don’t worry…….. Hopefully you go on Monday and it can be sorted quickly with some antibiotics xxx

Thanks girls really means a lot 🙁 I never though I would be unlucky to get it at 5 weeks PO really though I would be okay. I have been in agony but thought its just the healing process now I am kicking myself i knew something was not right. I have also noticed the area has gone a pinky colour and worried this could be a seroma or heamtoma , just praying everything will be okay 🙁

Hi jasmine. I have similar at 5 weeks, got an infection in my incision and has been really sore and weeping. have been so careful and they looked completely healed before but since the infection it has opened up at the end. On my second course of antibiotics now and has improved sooooo much! The nurses have been fantastic, they will sort you out and you will be as good as new in no time. You are in good hands. Also see your gp too as they can offer local support and do swabs if you do not live near the clinic. Good luck hun and hope you feel better soon xxx

Thanks so much Kaylee you have made me feel much better. Gosh didnt no it was quite common to get a infection so late on 🙁 Did yours swell up too? I am such a idiot I had such a bad fever yesterday was literally shaking had the chills so bad but wasnt sure if it was just a normal cold. Now I am so worried could be a seroma which may require further surgery. I wish there was a nurse I could see right now , having to wait till Monday seems like too long just hope thigs dont get worst for me

Hey Kim omg wow I am so excited for you hun! I am sure you will be fine and not get any infections. The best bit of advice I can give is to take it easy avoid the gym at all costs I have been running around so much at work and no thats what has caused this. Just hope its nothing too serious and can be treated 🙁 What size are you having and are you getting the teardrops?

Ohh i see! yes i have took off 3 weeks off work and im lucky they are considerate with me and told me if any problem theyd let me off bit longer as i work in a club and last thing i need is drunk people bumping in me! plus i do lift these massive vodkha bottles around lol Im very lazy so i doubt ill be going anywhere lol I am going to get the 325cc moderate plus in the end 🙂 only thing is i had to call in to check my admission time the lady on phone told me my time and that i should still receive a call but nothing :/ i was told its 7am. I hope that you can clear it with antibiotics babe! i didnt know you could be infected at 5 weeks too i thought by that time wed be showing off our boobies all clear :/

You will be fine sweetie. Seems like incision infections are more common than I thought. Think that the body is still absorbing the stitches this late on which may lead to infection. Since mine got infected it has pushed a stitch out (spitting stitches) but the nurses will put your mind at rest. I am on the second week of antibiotics now. My partner has severe eczema and has an aggressive skin infection at the moment so I didn’t stand a chance. Lol. Despite that the nurses were really supportive and not at all worried. Said it is very easy to treat. Xxx

Oh good thinking Kim you will deffo need that time off, I went back 1 week PO and it was really tough especially because I do lots of active things at work it was quite hard, oh thats means youll probabley be one of the first to go down which is a good thing. I was second to last and was so bored and nervous, make sure you bring a i pad or laptop the tvs dont work!!!
Thanks Kaylee hun yes I think your right it is literally at the end of the sticking it hasnt spead all along yet but its so red and so sore yesterday I wanted to pass out from the pain. Im such a idiot I should of rung MYA but I was trying to be positive and think this is just part of the healing lol, i am going top try and see a nurse tommrow and see what she says

Ohhh jasmine I am so sorry to hear this has happened to you at 5 weeks!! When I planned this I thought I would be find after a few days… Wow am I surprised!!! I really hope you are ok and don’t have to go for re-op, that us my biggest concern right now 🙁 I’m going on Wednesday to see the nurse as I know something is wrong, if it wasn’t for my hubby supporting me right now I would be heart broken cause they look so odd and awful!

Hey hun in casualty now they are giving me iv antibiotics. Which is not good really worried
.I rang mya this morning and no emergency nurses are available which I don’t think is right I’ve been on the phone to the out of hours nurse she’s been great but a little frustrated hope everything turns out ok,glad I went I knew something wasn’t rightxxxhows your swollen book xx

So glad u went and got it checked and didn’t wait til Monday to be seen,I was the same went to my local gp and got antibiotics as Mya just said ice it and take painkillers,I knew something wasn’t right,my advice to anyone is trust your instincts if u think something is wrong go to hospital or your own gp its not worth risking xx

a I totally agree I fist rung up on Thursday but was told it’s just normal healing so tried to forget about it and then Friday night I had the chills. And a fever and rang back and again was told it’s just my nerves regenerating.I should have just went to a n r. I don’t want to panicking any girls most times it is your. Body healing but if you really don’t feel right insist. On an appointment. Or go a n e the xxx

So sorry to hear about what you guys are having to go through 🙁 I really hope you recover fast, meanwhile eat plenty of fruits and have liquids and stay on top of prescribed meds. Its unfortunate however any surgery runs chances of infection until incisions are fully closed. x x

Aww isn’t there anyone to go with u it’s most prob a infection which is making u feel so unwell dnt worry as soon as u get some meds it will help u. Let us know how u are xx

Once u get antibiotics your feel loads better try not to panic hun x

I’m glad you are starting to feel better hun, I really hope you don’t have to get them removed or re-done. I am going to see nurse on Wednesday about my swollen boob its almost double the size of the other now 🙁 spoke to the nurse she thinks it may be a build up of blood and can just go away, so fingers crossed that’s all it is xx

Hey jasmine! I hope you are okay girl if it makes you feel any better I’ve had the same thing your not alone! i developed a hematoma though but this was only 3 weeks post op and I’m pretty sure i got it slightly before that as i had a problem with one of my drains after my op. i had to have another operation unfortunately they pick up on if very quickly so don’t panic at all. i was very ill too and was in and out of a&e over the whole weekend but they really can’t do much. I felt amazing after my second op though i went home and rested then unfortunately got more fluid which was trust seromal fluid or whatever its called. I’ve been back for lots of check ups and literally its all better out than in. i stood over a bath of boiling hot water and let the steam come up and it does help it come out it seems gross squeezing it out but its best too. I did get an infection in my incision which was horrid to hear but they put me on antibiotics straight away and I’m still taking them as we speak. Just don’t panic honestly you’ll be fine its just unfortunate for some of us girlies! If you want to message me for anything please do i know exactly what your going through. I’m back at work now and feel fine! just want it to all be over x

Hey hun I’m okay has been a awful experience and I just want to forget it. I’m a nervousvwreck right now I can’t eat sleep or relax. It’s a horrible feeling I’ve had the whole week of work and feel so bad about that. Im on the mend I hope but you just never no. I have a appointment with the nurse really hope everything is okay or I don’t no what I will do tbh xxc I
